About Paul Grogan
As a regular on the underground scene, his newfound love of house music drove him to start creating tracks and by 1992 he released his first 12" slab of vinyl, "Rise", under the moniker Ascendance. The record blew up in Europe and the success of this release inspired Paul to start his own label so in 1994 he formed Rampant Records as an outlet for his creations.
Rampant went on to release some hunky chunks of 12" Breakbeat madness as well as some groundbreaking Progressive House and Trance. With 12 Breaks releases in the first two years on the label, Paul was widely acknowledged as one of the pioneers of the 'West Coast Funky Breaks' sound.
In 1997 he started a second label,"Slinkey Recordings" as an outlet for the Progressive House and Trance releases that no longer fit on Rampant now that it had established itself as a premiere 'Breaks' label.
In 2001 Paul departed from the scene to settle down and raise a family. For the last 10 years he has been producing dance music but mainly for TV. Film and Commercials.
