Over Stars and Gutters

Hailing from Norman, OK, punk rock unit Over Stars and Gutters were first formed in August 2007 by vocalist/guitarist Matt McHugh after the dissolution of his previous band, Third Grade Scuffle. Members around him came and went before the band eventually settled more comfortably into the lineup of bassist Derek Lehman, drummer Jerry Jump, and guitarist/vocalist Taylor Hale. The quartet took inspiration from Jawbreaker and Hot Water Music, and self-released its debut full-length of raw pop-punk, Consider This Your Curse, in July 2009. Before the year's end, Over Stars and Gutters were snatched up by New Jersey-based label Black Numbers, which signed the band to its roster and reissued the album in January 2010. ~ Corey Apar, Rovi
