The One Nation Crew was a diverse group of ten multicultural vocalists who were gathered by gospel artist Kirk Franklin to produce an album and tour internationally. Their sef-titled debut album was co-produced by Franklin and noted producer Al West, and primarily written and arranged by Franklin. His connection to the band contributed greatly to their success -- through him they won appearances at the Apollo theater, on the Grammy and Essence Awards and on Motown Live. Their sound, which dipped into pop, hip-hop and latin styles, also helped explain their broad appeal within the gospel community. ~ Stacia Proefrock, Rovi
