Brian Bortnick has played acoustically for years prior to the formation of the band, mainly around the Philadelphia area. The band enjoys a fairly large following, considering the band is unsigned (as of January 2007), and not largely known outside of their locale. November 30, 2006: Octane performed live on The Opie and Anthony Show at their XM Studio. They were handed the remainder of the show that day as Opie needed to leave early to go house hunting. Octane played 5 live acoustic songs. September 2007: Octane performed at two Virus Tour events. North NJ & Camden, NJ September 24, 2007: Octane announces on their website, www.octanerocks.com, that Kevin Todd will be leaving the band. Octane will continue with a new singer (to be determined). The band split up for a period of time and the members pursued other projects including Defy and Fosterchild. On St. Patrick's Day 2012 Octane played a reunion concert at The Electric Factory in Philadelphia with the original members. After the concert, the band announced, in an interview with Lawrence R. Greenberg for the TV show Zombie Etiquette, that they were back together and would be writing and releasing new original songs together. Releases edit: When All is Said and Done (2003), Rise Up (2006), One Tomorrow (single/EP) (2008), TBA (2009)
