As a child True always had a passion for music. He started writing music at the age of 11 when he started reading poetry in 7th grade. He was Inspired by musical artist such as Tupac Shakur, LL Cool J, and Lighter Shade of Brown. Growing up in the streets Of Southern San Diego True started writing about the streets and what he knew and saw growing up. Even though He Was a street rapper True finally found his niche when he started mixing mellow beats with catchy hooks in to what he calls “RapNB”. With a Drawer full of loose leafs and note books filled with rhymes, he set to make a name for himself and find local producers who wanted the same. He started performing at the age of 15 at Clubs from Los Angles down To Rosarito Mexico. As he got older started opening up for known established rappers such as Baby Bash, Kurupt, Eastsiders, Mack 10, Nate Dogg, Natalie, Far East Movement and various artists to name a few. After many fallouts and struggles he decided to do it on his own. After a car accident 2008,he realized he had reason to be here, with the money from the settlement he bought his studio equipment and has been pushing ever since. He’s recently dropped a mix tape entitled “From Cali With Love” under his own imprint Cali’s Finest.
Cassidy (Cassidy Adriano Parot):
When he became a teenager Cassidy started writing poetry. As a fan of the hip hop culture,he found a way to escape life’s reality by turning those poems in to music. Inspired by the passing of his father at the age of 13, his direction towards music changed drastically .By looking up to lyricists such as Eminem and Lil Wayne, Cassidy found a way to express himself over music. In the party scene Cassidy made a name for himself by battle rapping and freestyling at local house parties .He eventually went on to record his music with local recording studios, but after linking up with long time high school friend Victor Garcia aka True they found that they had the same passion, same drive, and same goal for their music. Ever since then Cassidy’s been trying to perfect his craft and find his way in to the industry. He is now part of the Calis Finest imprint and with them has had the opportunity to open up for big names such as Far East Movement, The Federation, & Baby Bash just to name a few, along with solo performances and group performance with the rest of Cali’s Finest. He is currently working with True as part of a 2 man group “Nu Era”. He is also currently working on his solo career.
