About Nelson Teran
NELSON TERAN has traveled with his guitar and his awe-inspiring voice, not only his native Mexico, but also several countries such as: Colombia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Canada, Costa Rica, and the United States from coast to coast. His forceful and unique timbre, his masterful interpretations of the tracks composed by the great masters of world trova, as well as the strength of their own songs of love and heartbreak, place him among the most beloved songwriters and singers for ballad lovers, classical and contemporary.
The career of Mexican singer Nelson Teran is imbued with great successes. One is "Temperamento Bohemio" his first production recorded in 1998 in his native Matamoros. This album was supported by "Autumn International Festival" from the Government of the State of Tamaulipas. Nelson then was recognized as the "Voice of Autumn" and the following year was named "Favourite son of the city of Matamoros".
With nearly a thirty year career, ten albums, theme creation and adaptation of music for the movie "Embroidering the border," his commanding presence on stage, his passion and dedication to the music he loves, and an audience in which he firmly believes, Nelson Teran has left indelible marks in the hearts of his followers in each of his performances.
