After traveling half way around the globe last fall from Seattle to India, with stops in the UK including and impromptu recording session at the historic Abbey Road studios, Motopony is back with the first song from their upcoming full-length (Fast Plastic/eOne Music), due out this spring.???The first single "Daylights Gone" was produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Heartless Bastards, Trail of Dead) and mixed by Guy Massey (Spirtualized, Manic Street Preachers, Ed Sheeran), and is a soaring rock anthem that dances and floats along with it's classic flavors and psychedelic textures, setting the tone for what's to come from the album. ?? About the song, lead singer Daniel Blue says: ?? "I've always been impressed by how different a room or a backyard can feel just by changing the lighting. I think people are like that too, we seem to be governed by the light or lack thereof. When I was young I would wear a tie in daylight to sell frames to rich people at the Bellevue Square Mall. At night I would strip out of my monkey suit and transform like a super hero into a giant pair of Jnco jeans and some slutty anime t-shirt. In my costume I could twirl the night away as anyone I wanted, dancing under the moon under the roof of some warehouse that also served a completely different purpose in the daytime. This song goes out to all the lost children finding themselves in the dim black-light freakout of dance-floors around the world".
