About Molly Sandén

Molly Sandén (born July 3, 1992 in Stockholm) is a Swedish pop and R&B singer, host, and a voice actor. Her sisters, Frida and Mimmi Sandén, are also singers. Biography edit: Early life edit: Sandén studied at primary school Adolf Fredrik's music classes in Stockholm and after that at the gymnasium school Rytmus Music High School, where she examed spring 2011. In the beginning of her career Sandén practices song ans wrote music at Helges song studio in Gävle where she also became one of the members in the band Helges All Stars with Alice Svensson, Amy Diamond, her two sisters Frida and Mimmi Sandén and Zara Larsson. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 edit: Sandén represented Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 by singing the song Det finaste någon kan få. She received a record position of 3rd place, despite the fact no other Scandinavian countries competed or were eligible to vote. Sandén won the Swedish tryouts to Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006, Stage Junior 2006, with the ballad Det finaste någon kan få. In the final of the Bucharest in Romania on December 2, 2006 she came in third place with 116 points, which is the best result for Sweden until then. She appeared in SVT1 on December 31, 2006 in the program, which was sent from Skansen. Molly Sandén won the Talent competition stellar shots. She also sang a duet with Magnus Carlsson in the song Julens tid är här (Christmas time is here). (Sonja Aldén) in his julalbum Tracks in the snow from 2006. She also met Markoolio and got to sing with him during her period in his new album called "Snow" at Christmas rock. 2007 edit: In the summer of 2007 she participated in Diggiloo tour with among Lasse Holm, Linda Bengtzing, Lotta Engberg, Tony Roche, Charlotte Perrelli, Thomas Pettersson, Jan Johansen, Niklas Andersson, Lasse Berghagen, Benjamin Wahlgren and Magnus Johansson. Sandén has also sung duets with Ola Svensson in the song You are the music in me, which is included in the Disney film High School Musical 2. Molly and Ola was also a song in the Swedish tryouts to Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007. Her sister, Frida Sandén, won the national final with the song Nu eller aldrig and therefore represented Sweden in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007. Molly was chosen to present the Swedish votes during the voting component of the evening. 2008 edit: Sandén attended Så ska det låta on April 11, 2008 together with Magnus Bäcklund. In summer 2008 she participated again in Diggiloo tour with Lasse Holm, Linda Bengtzing, Lotta Engberg, Thomas Pettersson, Måns Zelmerlöw, Nanne Grönvall, Stefan and Kim and Magnus Johansson. A compilation CD was released in connection with the tour which contains the songs Hallelujah and Gabriellas song with Molly. Molly's cover of Dea Norberg's song Den underbara dagen du kommer hem is played frequently in advertisements for Sibylla 2008. In 2008 Sandén participated in the Sun, wind & water, a tribute to Ted Gärdestad, with Janne Schaffer, Jan Johansen, Johan Boding and Sara Löfgren. The same year, she and Brandur, released a Swedish version of the song Right Here, Right Now contained in the Disney film High School Musical 3. Melodifestivalen edit: Sandén has also entered Melodifestivalen 2009, the Swedish contest to choose the entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia. Sandén qualified for the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2009 with her song Så vill stjärnorna. In the final she finished in last place only getting two points. These two points came from the international jury. None of the Swedish juries gave her any points and she finished eighth in the public vote out of 11, the highest place of the no pointers. Sandén competeted in the third semifinal in Melodifestivalen 2012 and proceeded to the final with her song "Why am I Crying", where she came fifth. Influences edit: Sandén has said herself to be inspred by the ones she described as "the singing divas". Uppermost of these are Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and in later time Adele, Jessie J and Beyoncé. Personal life edit: Molly was in a long-term relationship with Swedish singer Eric Saade until it officially ended in early 2012. From the 11th February 2013, Molly started a new relationship with Swedish singer Danny Saucedo. This was confirmed by Danny on his official website page. On 28 September 2012, Molly announced that she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes after collapsing while on a trip in Barcelona.
