About Migrant Kids

¡Migrant Kids! (previously known as "Manolete") debuts in 2011 hailing from Austin, Texas. Miguel Ojeda and John Zakoor are two cousins who come from a large migrant family. They grew up together, played together, and now write music together. Using slinky indie-mexican guitars, hypnotic tribal drum blips, big bass swagger, and fun bouncing vocals over electro-mexico beats, they create a new sound that fuses identity, roots, barrio rock, and dance.
