The Lorenzo story started when Radio Promotion legend, Bill Scull heard Marko’s songs, “Little Breakdown” and “2 a.m.” at an ASCAP demo review session. Scull, who has worked in the industry for years with Clive Davis, singled him out, signed Marko to his EO label, changed the band’s name to Lorenzo and sent him out to record his label’s first CD. Scull said, “The thing I learned from Clive is that the song is king and Lorenzo has those songs.”
Scull and Emanon Records founder, Mike Busch then enlisted [future] Grammy-Nominated, Juno-Winning producer, Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Hinder, 5-Finger Death Punch) to produce the CD. Churko, (who had just finished working with Mutt Lange), told Scull after he heard the demos, “This is the kind of artist every producer dreams of finding.”
