Locksley

Locksley is a band in the truest sense, fronted by three singin’, guitar-slingin’ songwriters kicking out unabashed pop gems that beat with a rock ‘n’ roll heart. Produced by longtime collaborator Guy Benny, and released on the band’s own Feature Records, Locksley captures the NYC-based combo’s knack for timeless songcraft, melding three-part harmonies, glorious melodies, and unshakable hooks.

Singer/guitarist Kai Kennedy, singer/guitarist Jesse Laz, singer/bassist Jordan Laz and drummer Sam Bair have been making their righteous racket since coming together in their hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. Locksley soon lit out for New York City where they earned instant attention for their snappy songs and ever-exuberant stage presence. In addition to their own headline shows, Locksley have traveled in support of such acts as Hanson, Rooney, The Hives, and Ray Davies (with whom they also served as backing band), not to mention festival bills like Tokyo’s Summersonic and MTV’s Choose or Lose Tour.

Marked by Locksley’s almost encyclopedic passion for music – with a particular affinity for British Invasion beat groups, NYC punk, classic Stax/Volt soul, and garage-fuelled 21st Century indie rock – their self-titled debut album’s manic pop thrills represent the definitive account of their electrifying first chapter.
