Los Angeles based indie pop duo Little & Ashley is comprised of Annie Little and Marcus Ashley. Annie, from Salt Lake City, and Marcus, from White Bear Lake, MN, are best known for their songs that were featured in the Amazon Kindle stop-motion commercial series in which Annie also starred. Amazon chose four of Little & Ashley’s songs, “Fly Me Away”, “Stole My Heart”, “Come On Let’s Go”, and “Winter Night”, for the campaign. “Stole My Heart” went on to become Amazon’s #1 free MP3 download of 2010. Amazon discovered Little & Ashley through their very first song, “Fly Me Away”, which accompanied an Amazon commercial contest entry directed by their friends Angela Kohler and Ithyle Griffiths. Ultimately, the spec commercial won both the Audience prize and the Amazon Jury prize, and aired on TV around the world. Originally a drummer, Marcus taught himself multiple instruments and began writing and recording songs in high school. He recorded his first solo album at Prince’s Paisley Park Studios in Minneapolis, and went on to write and produce recordings of over 300 of his original songs. Also an actor, Marcus has guest starred on TV shows including “Justified”, “Bones”, and “CSI: NY”, in addition to appearing in movies including “Laurel Canyon”, opposite Christian Bale. While studying vocal performance at the University of Utah, Annie was discovered by a photographer and left to pursue a modeling career, continuing to write music. She is currently a Ford model and actress, and can be seen in the upcoming Ben Affleck directed “Argo” for Warner Bros. Pictures. In addition, she has also been cast on a variety of TV shows including “Mad Men”, “Desperate Housewives”, and “Dexter”. Annie and Marcus discovered their mutual love of music when they met while acting in a commercial together. They married in July 2011, and live and work in Laurel Canyon, in the Hollywood hills. To date they have released three EPs, and their first full-length album, “Dreamy Happy Sexy”, will be released in the summer of 2013. For more info on Annie Little, please visit www.annielittle.com.
