Hailing from Salt Lake City, L'anarchiste -- meaning "the anarchist" in French -- started in the basement of Rob LeCheminant and grew into a full-fledged band to the many requests of fans. The name was chosen with the hope that it helped portray the band's musical outlook: that their music would not be held to any preconceived expectation of sound. With a smooth tenor voice, Rob sings delicately yet powerfully over intricate classical and jazz influenced folk rich with harmonies and dense instrumentation. With an intimate 5 song ep and a surprisingly energetic live performance, word is spreading quickly among critics and fans alike.
They are currently hard at work on a full-length album.
