London-based musician Kwesi Sey, aka Kwes. (note the intentional period), got his start producing early demos for the xx and collaborating with Micachu (of Micachu & the Shapes) on a project named Kwesachu. As word of his production talent spread, remix requests followed from Hot Chip, the Invisible, and Damon Albarn. A talented multi-instrumentalist in his own right, Kwes. started focusing on solo material, releasing his 2009 debut single, Heart in Home, on XL Recordings/Salvia, and following it the next year with the No Need to Run EP on Young Turks. In 2012, Sey signed to Warp for his sophomore EP, Meantime.
