Singer-songwriter Kriss Mincey is alternative RnB meets house-pop. Her jazz-infused style is reminiscent of Janelle Monae, Minnie Riperton and Natalie Cole, glazed with strands of pop music that leave listeners’ ears quenched. The Baltimore native and DC Metro Area resident debuted at Washington’s own legendary Blues Alley Jazz Club, and recently made her grand comeback at Manhattan’s Jazz Gallery. Now with a fresh bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, the young songstress is ready to take on the world, starting with 22 Candles. Kriss says this project is sure to surprise fans and Kriss-neophytes alike, as it features a mix of dance, RnB, and pop music-- “a lot more than what people would expect just from looking at me,” Kriss says. She calls the project “a dry funk with light blue sprinkles and indigo.” Get your audible serving of Kriss, with a twist, later this year. Experience Kriss Mincey. The artist. The songwriter.
