Jeremy "Kinetics" Dussolliet and Tim "One Love" Sommers are a hip-hop group and Grammy nominated songwriting duo from New York City. Signed as songwriters to Warner Music Group, they have written for Eminem, B.o.B, Pitbull, Nicki Minaj and Sean Kingston, making their commercial debut as songwriters in 2010 by penning the chorus to B.o.B's platinum selling single "Airplanes" featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore. As artists, they have collaborated with hip-hop legends such as R.A. the Rugged Man and Remedy (rapper) from Wu-Tang Killa Bees, the internationally known rapper Termanology, Atlantic Records' Wynter Gordon and the Unknown Prophets. The duo has also performed around the world, opening for acts such as Talib Kweli, Mac Lethal and Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels of Run-D.M.C.

Kinetics and One Love began writing and producing music together after meeting at Cornell University in 2007. In 2009, they released their debut album Fading Back to Normal, which features the original Kinetics & One Love version of "Airplanes." After handing out only a few hundred copies of the album around New York, a copy made its way into the offices of Atlantic Records in New York City. While still college students, Dussolliet and Sommers were invited to Atlantic to speak with A&Rs from Atlantic and Warner Music Group and, in early 2010, signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music, Inc. "Airplanes" was bought by Atlantic Records and became the second single off rapper B.o.B's debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray.Paramore's Hayley Williams is also featured on the track. The song climbed to the number 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. A second version of "Airplanes" features Eminem and is also included on B.o.B's debut album.
Throughout 2010 and 2011, Kinetics & One Love performed at various clubs and concert venues throughout New York City and launched a nationwide college tour that brought them up and down both coasts, playing alongside acts such as The Knocks, Hoodie Allen, Chris Webby, and Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels of Run-D.M.C.. In August 2011, they were invited to Shenzhen, China to play at the 2011 Universiade Youth Festival, one of the five flagship events of the 2011 China-EU Year of Youth featuring musical acts from around the world. They were the only American act invited to the festival as well as the only act to perform hip-hop.
In the summer of 2012, Kinetics released a mixtape entitled With A Little Help From My Friends, featuring guest appearances from R.A. the Rugged Man, Remedy from the Wu-Tang Killa Bees, Chris Webby, Dylan Owen, the Unknown Prophets, New Jersey artist KTSB and the Lower East Side-based rapper and poet Accent. One Love produced half of the songs on the mixtape and mixed and engineered the entire project.
On August 28, 2012, Kinetics & One Love released their sophomore album You Are Not Alone, with guest appearances from Termanology, Wynter Gordon, Nitty Scott, KTSB & Accent. Within its first two hours on sale, the album broke the top ten on the iTunes hip-hop chart and climbed to #55 on the all albums iTunes chart. It also charted at No. 57 on Billboard Magazine's R&B/Hip-Hop chart and No. 32 on its Heatseekers chart. Upon its debut, You Are Not Alone received positive reviews from Billboard Magazine, MTV's Buzzworthy, Vibe Magazine, Complex Magazine, The Source Magazine and XXL Magazine. You Are Not Alone is a socially conscious concept album, reflecting upon the decisions of society as a whole and pondering the future direction of mankind.
