About Kelly Fairchild
Mastered by Tom Baker (Motley Crue, Judas Priest) in Los Angeles, and featuring performances by Brent Fitz (Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Alice Cooper), George Belanger (Harlequin) and Myke Kurnell (X Engine X), the groups impressive debut CD ‘STARLAND’ was well received globally with the lead-off single “Pam Anderson” receiving radio features throughout Canada, United States, UK and Italy.
Reviewed as “the album to beat” by US magazine Sonic Ruin, rated 9 out of 10 by major Spanish rock magazine Rock Hard, with music editor Maribel Ruiz quoting it’s “the hottest album we’ve discovered in years!” and the industry recognized Ship Wreck Island Music Poll ranking STARLAND at #23, ahead of John Mellencamp (56), Bruce Springsteen (79) and Neil Young (96) in ‘albums of the year’.
Strong domestic and international buzz landed the group performances at the Juno Awards, Canada's equivalent to the Grammy's, for 'Junofest' weekend, return engagements to both ‘CrueFest Hollywood’; an exclusive event featuring rock artists from around the world held at the infamous Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood, CA, and the International Pop Overthrow; which tours major US cities and the UK, highlighting the best indie pop groups of today.
Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, and now based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kelly Fairchild continues to work on new material with new lineups, and with plans to again bring his brand of high-octane, punk infused pop rock to the world.
