Take the thoughtful lyricism of Lupe Fiasco, the R&B sentimentality of Drake, the bravado of Kanye West and throw on the Miami Vice soundtrack and you've got Electromajic; and Keith Masters is it's pioneer. With music currently used on ESPN, NBC, the NFL Network and played at the NFL Pro Bowl, tracks with some of Europe’s hottest producers including Digikid84 and Futurecop!, three top - 5 singles on Hype Machine, BBC Radio 1 approval and supporting performances with the Wu-Tang Clan, Foster The People and more, Keith has proven that he is ready to embrace the spotlight.
The shining opportunity awaiting Keith has been a long time in the making. Over his seven years as an underground artist, he has proven that he is unwilling to forfeit creativity for fame. While earning a college degree, Keith broke out onto the hip-hop scene through word of his electric performances and recordings with established names in the industry. He joined forces with NYC underground super group, The Reavers, providing the groundwork necessary for him to open for such acts as Aesop Rock, Immortal Technique, Cannibal Ox and the GZA. Keith continued to build upon this momentum getting the opportunity to write music for Cappie Pondexter of the WNBA’s New York Liberty. These two tracks can be heard at www.cappiepondexter.com. Her former team was so impressed with the songs, that they enlisted his musical prowess to create the team song for the Phoenix Mercury, which was played at all home games at the US Airways Center.
Having established a nucleus of young intelligent listeners and crafted a resume that reads like the beginnings of a career as hip-hop elite, Keith is poised to take off and reach new heights. After working with British 80’s synth-pop duo Futurecop! and releasing two singles with them in 2010, Keith signed with the Germany based indie label Kiez Beats Records in 2011. His first LP “Electromajic: The Remixtape” was released in April of 2012 and drew rave reviews from fans and critics alike, earning him features on Beatport and top charting on Hype Machine. Months later, he collaborated with BASHtone to create the EDM and Hip Hop hybrid single Desoto, which also charted on Hype Machine in the top 15 and was featured on Beatport and iTunes along with Usher, Ne-Yo, Deadmau5 and Boys Noize. His next single Gary Busey (Life Good) is scheduled for an early 2013 release on Kiez Beats Records.
