Karlie Redd (born in New York, NY) is an American hip-hop artist, dancer, model and actress.
Biography edit:
Born in New York, Redd spent much of her childhood in Trinidad and returned to attend The Harlem School of the Arts and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Redd has stated that she is "in her twenties" but will not reveal any exact details, stating "I never tell my age." This has been disputed by Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta co-star K. Michelle and Redd's ex-boyfriend and fellow co-star Benzino, who both state that she is older than she claims.
Career edit:
Redd has worked with Grammy nominated producer Sean Kingston, Tyrese Gibson, Jamie Foxx and Claudette Ortiz of City High, among others. In 2012 she was cast in the spin off VH1 reality show, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. In the summer of 2012, Karlie launched the Redd Hairline by Karlie Redd. In July 2012, Karlie released her debut single, "A Girl Has Needs" on iTunes.
