Kansas K. Begaye (born May 30, 1988), Dine' Navajo, Native American Recording Artist and 2013-2014 Miss Indian World, from Waterflow, NM.
She is of the Diné Nation (Navajo Nation). Her clans are the Red Bottom clan born for the Many Hogans clan. Her maternal grandfather's clan is the Yucca-Banana clan and her paternal grandfather's clan is the Red Streak Into Water clan. Her parents are Leonard and Dorothy Begaye.
Kansas graduated high school at Navajo Preparatory School in 2005. In 2011, she graduated from the University of New Mexico with a bachelor's degree in Native American Studies.
Ms. Begaye has released four albums as a Native American Recording Artist. She was awarded the "Rising Star" award at the Native American Music Awards. 2004 she released her first album "Beauty of the Spirit" (nominated at the Native American Music Awards for Best Independent Record) 2005 signed on with SOAR (Sound of America Records) and released her second album "Native Rose" (nominated at the Native American Music awards for Best Female Recording Artist) 2007 she released an independent record "Native Dreams" 2009 "Sacred Reflections of Time" was released as her 4th album.
She has carried the titles of Miss Tse'Daa'Kaan'1998-1999, Miss Northern Navajo Teen 2001-2002, Miss Indian Teen World 2002-2003, and Miss Indian World 2013-2014.
