Singer/songwriter Kait Weston, now living in Los Angeles, CA, is originally from a
small town in New York called Buchanan. Just four short years ago, Kait began her
musical journey by creating a YouTube channel, where she posted cover versions of
her favorite pop radio hits, which caught the attention of popular YouTube musician,
Tyler Ward. She then went on to successfully win his USA Live Lounge Contest, which
allowed her to be featured on two collaborations with Ward and be introduced to his
millions of fans. But the whirlwind of success didn’t end there for the 23-year-old
performer. She then received a call from renowned TV personality Ellen Degeneres,
requesting that she perform, where she belted out her own rendition of Katy Perry’s
infectious “Firework” for millions of viewers. Her singing career was on the rise.
Since moving to LA, she’s performed at the American Music Awards After Party
hosted by The Wanted at Lure night club, The Roxy and The Avalon Theater, to name
a few of her biggest gigs to date. Kait describes her sound as “emotional, edgy and
soulful,” as she continues to work on her music, highly focused on completing her debut
album by the
end of 2013.
