Jessa Zaragoza

Richelle Ann Loyola (born 1978), known by her stagename Jessa Zaragoza is a Filipino singer and actress of Spanish Filipino descent. Personal life edit: She is married to singer and composer Dingdong Avanzado and has a daughter named Jayda. She is also of Spanish-Filipino descent, she married Avanzado on March 28, 2001. Zaragoza, auditioned for Little Miss Philippines in 1986 credited as Richelle Ann Loyola was also part of That's Entertainment (TV series) in the early 90's and was currently a contract Artist of GMA-7 where she worked with many iconic actors of today, she also worked with OctoArts Records (now PolyEast Records) and became the first main selling artist of the little recording company which produced her first album Just Can't Help Feelin(1997). At the age of 20 and Phenomonal(1999) as her final album From the early 90's to the late 2000 until she transferred to rival network ABS-CBN from 2000-2004, she signed a deal with its recording company Star Records and produced her two albums Ibigay Mo Na(2000) and Kahit Na Ilang Umaga (2004). She also sung the theme songs for soaps for ABS-CBN and GMA-7 and also notable TV Series and Music Videos. Career edit: In 1997, Jessa Zaragoza became successful doing movies and became an artist under OctoArts EMI, she did a successful album entitled "Just Can't Help Feelin'" which all spanned No.1 with top singles and made her the rising star of OctoArts EMI (now PolyEast Records) her Top Singles such as "Bakit Pa", which awarded 7x. She did a romantic comedy movie entitled with her carrier single "Bakit Pa?" with Troy Montero and Diether Ocampo as her leading men,the movie was released in theaters on February 3, 1999 as a Valentine's Movie Presentation of Octoarts and GMA Films she also did a soap opera from May to October 1999 under GMA-7 entitled "Di Ba't Ikaw". In 2000, she became the Madonna of the Philippines spanning New Hit singles such as Ibigay Mo Na, Siya Ba Ang Dahilan, and Kung Kailan Pa, In 2001, she sung the theme song of the ABS-CBN afternoon soap titled of the song "Recuerdo De Amor" which ran from 2001-2002. She also got married to Dingdong Avanzado. She also cast in another ABS-CBN soap which stars The Philippine Superstar Nora Aunor, Carol Banawa and Desiree Del Valle entitled Bituin as Andromeda, the recording producer. In 2003 she sung the another ABS-CBN theme song of Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas as the first version for the first book of the series and later on to Sharon Cuneta's rendition for the series. This was part of her album "Kahit Na Ilang Umaga" released by Star Records In 2004, the song Hindi Na Bale composed by Jimmy Antiporda was part of ABS CBN's Himig Handog Songwriting Contest. In 2006, She collaborated with her singer/songwriter husband, Dingdong Avanzado on the first ever husband-wife all duet album to be released in the country, "Laging Ikaw ." This was released under Universal Records. In 2007, Controversy erupted between her and Rufa Mae Quinto when the Actress allegedly interpreted and stated that Jessa was the reason of Rufa Mae, and Dingdong's break up with the former girlfriend at the time which was also known as Philippine Showbiz' Memorable Breakups Jessa kept mum about the issue also replying and defending her self on an all live interview on GMA-7's Startalk about the alleged accusations in a write up under YES Magazine with Rufa Mae as the featured Artist on the front of the cover showing her home and talking about her personal life and different men from past and current relationships. In 2009. she came home from the U.S after doing several concerts in Las Vegas, and California, with her husband Dingdong Avanzado, she came back to Primetime Television on the 1999 remake of Rosalinda (Philippines TV series) . She also released her first solo album after six years, and her first all covers album to date, "Jessa Sings the Great Musical Icons." The album paid tribute to such musical legends like : Elvis Presley, the Beatles Tina Turner, Sting and The Police, Madonna and Stevie Wonder. It also showcased, Jessa's superb versatility as a performer as she dabbled effortlessly from one music genre to another- big band- jazz, dance, Rnb and rock. In 2010, she came back to ABS-CBN to be part of the short lived Primetime Television Series Idol and is currently doing several guest appearances and also renditions of songs with her husband Dingdong Avanzado she recently did an episode of Wansapanataym episode of Pablo S. Gomez' Super Kikay And The Flying Pagong with Kim Chiu as the lead role of the adapted Comic Character. In 2012, she portrayed Angela on the Afternoon Soap Based on the 1989 Film produced by Seiko Films Ruben Marcelino's Kokak as the mother to Title protagonist Sarah Lahbati. In July, her latest album "Pag Wala Na Ang Ulan" was released under GMA records. The album includes the song "Nasaan" from the afternoon TV Series Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit on GMA-7 . The latest single "Pag Wala Na Ang Ulan" has hit number 1 in PinasFm 95.5's countdown.
