Ivy Ling Po is a legendary actress and singer from China who is best known for her association with the Shaw Brothers Studio during the 1960s. Born in March 1939 in Shantou, China, she moved to Hong Kong at a young age and made her film debut in 1951 at age 12. Her popularity peaked in the 1960s during her association with the Shaw Brothers Studio. She later retired from the Hong Kong film industry in the late '80s and relocated to Toronto, Canada. However, she made a grand comeback in 2002, joining fellow Shaw Brothers veteran Hu Chin in the stage musical Butterfly Lovers.
