Anthony Brown is 29 years old, and an aspiring rapper/songwriter. Born on November 24, 1986 in Milan, Tennessee. He’s been involved with rap music for about 15 years now. At first he just listened to rap music, some of his early influences were Bone Thugs N Harmony, Tupac, LL Cool J, and Beastie Boys. Of course he was so young at that time that he really didn’t understand everything about it, but as time passed, the more he caught on. He started listening to Tupac the same year he was killed and wasn’t able to listen to his earlier works so “R U Still Down” was one of his favorite albums growing up. Then he started writing his own songs when he was in Sixth grade. Anthony never had access to beats, come to think of it; he never cared about having a beat. The biggest majority of his rapping was strictly acapella until his sophomore year in high school when a friend of his hooked him up with a beat one of their friends had made, which would ultimately spark the beginning of his now well known persona and stage name “H2”. The beat basically sounded like a take off of the score to one of the “Halloween” movies, he just liked the name, and everyone seemed to as well. When asked what the name actually means, he said..."Well it actually means the highest and lowest extremes like Heaven and Hell. I just always push everything I do to the limit.” He went on to release 7 underground cds between 2003 and 2007 going by the alias “H2” with his longtime producer Steven “IGNOVA” Winfrey. He had used that name for such a long time, but felt it was time to make it more marketable by turning it into a phrase, so now it's "ItsYaBoiH2". Plus on every profile page he has, that's what he goes by so why not just make it more accessible. He’s also at the moment developing his own independent record label titled “Flatliner Music” that will consist of a variety of lyricists, and producers with different sounds that are full of vast, creativity when it comes to their music. In a few words he says that he’s merging the lines of dirty south beats, and strong lyrical content, massive energy with expressive ideas, and an incredible work ethic. “I'm extremely versatile and I like to dabble into all different kinds of genres and sounds as well” he says. Since 2007 he’s been releasing numerous mixtapes online starting with his Flatliner Music Mixtape Series (which is up to 6 volumes already), and has an ever growing following due to listeners finding some of his most notable mixtapes “Simple But Effective 2: Buried [LIVE]”, “No Brakes”, and his most notable release to date “Button Pusher” was released mid 2012. A year earlier he released what he considered his debut album titled “Defenseless” which was given great praise for it’s aggressive lyricism, and individuality, but the release fell on deaf ears, so he went back to the lab (aka the studio) and decided to perfect his lyrical craft and strengthen his songwriting ability. In May 2013 he released his follow up to "Defenseless" titled "Bigger Fish" which was also given a 4 out of 5 star rating by several music reviewers. After all those solo projects, in 2014 he released his 30th cd, entitled "Mon-U-Mental. Which is a personal landmark for the emcee simply because back in 2006 he made a comment to his partner J'Smoove about wanting to have 30 full length projects by the time he turned 30 years old. Then he ended up reaching his goal with still 3 years to spare. To some it may feel like the best way to end a career, but to ItsYaBoiH2, it only solidifies that he's still a driving force in hip hop, with or without a major label backing him. So be on the lookout because this is only the beginning.
