Gangsta rapper Iron Sy was born Amadou Malik Su in Thiais, France, in 1979. The child of a Senegalese-born father and American-born mother, he began performing as a member of the Black Killah crew, first earning wide attention via performances on mixtapes including Dontcha 4 and Poska 25.
