Into Airwaves is the musical project that came out of a collaboration between friends Lee Eisenbarth and Universal Recording artist, Chase Coy in 2010.
Lee is a musician who has been primarily on and off tours drumming for various artists. The indie-electro-pop band is from Indianapolis, Indiana. The two met when Lee was touring with a band called Breathe Electric. “We hit it off and then found out we lived 20 minutes away from each other.” Lee then went on to drum for Chase and the two started Into Airwaves. As the project has continued to develop, Lee adopted a front role in the creation of Into Airwaves. The project has expanded, reaching out and co-writing songs with various artists and producers.
Lee states, “I both draw influences from very diverse range of artists. I personally love Death Cab for Cutie. Everything Ben Gibbard writes is heartfelt. Whether it’s lyrics or a melody…you can understand where his heart is coming from. I love that transparency about him.”
The band has done several covers of popular songs in the electronic realm, and is writing for their debut record. Into Airwaves has committed to creating streams of content for their fans, specifically in the form of studio covers. An EP of original material is due by spring of 2013.
When asked about the vision for the band Lee answers with, “My ideal vision for Into Airwaves is being on the road meeting new people each night along with constantly pumping out new music. I love being able to go across the country and feel connected to people I’ve never met. The one thing that brings us together is music. If we can produce music and makes someone’s day…that is all I can ask for.”
