We are talking about up and comer (but already seasoned vet) International Nova. While establishing a loyal overseas fan base the Bronx, NYC native has been shaking up the industry and World Wide Web. From his number #1 record on the UK DJ charts with “ I Just Wanna” to his cult fan base favorite “NY SWAG” record that has cultivated hundreds of fan made YouTube videos all over the net this young, fresh and extremely talented artist has been laying a strong foundation for his brand.
2007 became the beginning of International Nova and his brand and a start of a new sound he would come to call ‘Global Music’ which has been described as one of the most commercial and sellable music to come out of the hoods of New York city. Shortly after, International Nova (and his then group StreetCorna) became World Wide appearing on Make Mullah Radio, shattering their number of listeners from 200,000 to over 500,000! Their hit single “I Just Wanna (RMX)” was getting air wide plays throughout the states, opening up opportunities to host and perform all over NYC, Philadelphia, and Florida. By 2008, StreetCorna became unstoppable! With their new smash hit “Like a Star” ft. Taio Cruz, the group, not only took over Hot 97 in NYC and ESPN, but survived the ‘Ringtone’ and ‘Myspace’ revolution with over 875,000 downloads and plays, bringing StreetCorna above and beyond. The new faces of hip hop continued their take over, not only in the states, but into the Spanish culture as well. Showing their bi-lingual abilities, ‘Spanglish Magazine’ jumped on board, releasing their new article ‘Approaching the Top’, contributing to the acknowledgement of StreetCorna’s quest towards stardom.
With support coming from all directions, including legendary Hip Hop legends to new age superstars, StreetCorna moved forward faster then expected, releasing their mixtape “ShowTime” in mid 2008. The mixtape received over 35,000 downloads in less than one month from loyal fans. In the fall of 2009 StreetCorna has teamed with NBA superstar Stephon Marbury to form StreetCorna Tv sponsored by Stephon Marbury and his Starbury Clothing company.
Fast Forward to 2011 International Nova now focused on getting his solo career on track, releasing his first solo mixtape entitled “Sex Love and Heartbrake”. Upon its initial release the mixtape was downloaded over 12,000 times in the first 6 weeks of release, after this Nova was seen and heard all over the web with a string of radio interviews and viral music videos which where all met with critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike. By December of 2011 International Nova was focused, releasing a new record featuring his brothers on the West Coast Shorty Mack (Team Knockout ENT, Ray-J) and Trapps (Cornelius-Universal) entitled “Hey Girl” that shook LA radio once played by KJLH radio 102.3 by host/DJ Ricky Waddas. Since then “Hey Girl” has not only been rocking LA FM radio but also many stations across the mid-west, back to NYC. By March 2012 “Sex Love & Heartbrake” has over 25,000 downloads with everyone wanting to get a piece of International Nova.
March 2012 marks the release of International Nova's new single entitled "Mansions & Audemars" featuring close friend and R&B sensation Tony Sunshine ("shes like the wind", "100percent " ) which has been met by love and admiration by fans and critics around the globe. Now fully set to crush the industry, International Nova is looking to further stamp his mark on the music scene.
