Inkwell consists of Travis Adams, former frontman of emo band My Hotel Year and Dave Pierce. Adams had become reluctant about playing in bands after quitting My Hotel Year, but Pierce talked him into playing again and the two quickly wrote songs and played all instruments for the first record, Chaos Reveals Rhyme, which was released a year later in 2005 on Amateur Records. After repeated interest from Orlando-based 111 Records, Inkwell was finally convinced to work with the label. They released These Stars Are Monsters in July 2006, and that summer Inkwell toured with Mae and the Spill Canvas. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
