About Incognegro

Considering that everyone who's a part of this Philadelphia hip-hop four-piece was in the Goats, it's hard to not make comparisons of their previous project. Fronted by Maxx Stoyanoff-Williams, one-half of the Goats main lyricists, he's backed with the production styles of Sean Tyson, Mark Boyce, and the drummings of former Bad Brains/Urge Overkill drummer Chuck Treece. Having their own unique flavor of intelligent lyrics, laid-back beats, and slick Hammond organs, their first self-titled full length was released by Chord Recordings in 1999. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
