Malcolm Henderson has been working on his music for 7 years. Malcolm is the definition of ambition. In late June of 2006, he lost his father. His father’s passing gave Malcolm the motivation and determination he needed to release his first album "Both Sides", a double disc cd that expressed Malcolm’s pain. His album spoke about the good sides, and night terrors we face in society's day to day life. When Malcolm’s father passed away, his mother couldn't cope; and started doing drugs. By 2007, Malcolm found himself in foster care; joined by his older brother Donte. During the first few years of foster care Malcolm faced abuse, neglect, and constantly found himself a victim of unfair treatment. It wasn't until 2009 that Malcolm would find a family who’d treat both siblings with fairness and equality. In early 2010 Malcolm's daughter was murdered. The case was labeled foul play and the mother was arrested. However, she was released 6 months later due to lack of evidence. Malcolm never once lost his sight on his dreams. The more he went through, the more he wrote. The more he wrote the more his fans fell in love with him expressing himself. In late July of 2009, Malcolm met a good friend of his managers name Tony. Tony had a connection to get Malcolm’s demo heard by a man named Eric Sermon. Eric Sermon promised Malcolm that he would help him break into the music industry by 2011. After revising his music, he told Malcolm he could get him a record deal with Def-Jam. A Month went by before he finally contacted Malcolm's manager claiming he could no longer get Malcolm the deal. After being let down once again, Malcolm headed set out for his hometown. When his friends and fans heard he wasn't signed, they called him a fake, a liar, and a fraud. Malcolm found himself in a deep depression, but he didn't give up. He kept writing and recording; and just as the young artist was getting back on track. 2 of his best friends were taken from him in a fatal car crash. Just as he thought things couldn't possibly get any worse, they did. Early in November of 2010, Malcolm's mother was murdered in Richmond. This would change his life forever. After high school ended Malcolm decided to take his music career to the next level. So he went to Atlanta in 2011 with his older brother; leaving behind his fiancé, and his unborn child that he had no knowledge of until a week after his arrival in Atlanta. While in Atlanta, Malcolm and his brother did various shows, open-mics, and radio interviews on independent stations. During his stay in Atlanta, Malcolm learned the techniques of mixing, and pre-mastering in order to save money for studio time. Months went by until Malcolm received a phone call from his fiancé. She told him she lost the baby. The news came as a shock. He was now heartbroken and separated from his fiancé, but would have to find a way hold his head high, and strive that much harder. Music is Malcolm's passion, his filter through life, and his expression of self. Converting his feelings through sound he touches each and every fan, or any new listener that gives his music a shot. Despite the tragedies Malcolm has been through, he didn't give up. Malcolm says "I feel like the weight of the world is on my shoulders, but instead of letting that weight push me down I use that weight to lift, and gain muscle each and every day, to give me strength to carry on, and be the greatest that god and my fans want me to be" Malcolm's Primary focus is breaking into the music industry by 2013. Many admire his strive for perfection, his vision to become being iconic; and especially his stage presence. Malcolm is adored for his ability to make songs full of touching impact, and inspirational songs for all genres. Malcolm combines the elements of experience, trial and tribulation, heartbreak, relationships, and tragedies to make his music, mix-tapes, albums and EPs. Malcolm S. Henderson is the definition of hard work and inspiration.
