Home Video is an electronic rock duo from Brooklyn featuring Collin Ruffino and David Gross. Meeting in an art class in high school in 1997, Ruffino introduced bands such as Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, and Massive Attack to Gross, who had been exclusively listening to and playing classical music. Gross soon joined Ruffino's band at the time on keyboards. Though each went away to college, they kept in touch and worked on music during breaks. After school they regrouped in New York, dubbed themselves Home Video and began writing songs in winter 2003. Warp released Home Video's first two EPs in 2004. After playing a date with them in London, Blonde Redhead asked Home Video to tour with them for three weeks in North America. The duo also had the privilege of opening for Pinback, Radio 4, and His Name Is Alive. Home Video's full-length debut album, No Certain Night or Morning, was released in October 2006 on Defend Music. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, Rovi
