Hungarian pianist Gustav Csik is one of Europe's most accomplished jazz musicians. In addition to leading his own group, the Gustav Csik Trio, featuring bassist Reggie Johnson and drummer Geza Lakatos, Czik has recorded with American saxophone player Eddie Lockjaw Davis and American clarinet player Tony Scott, who called him, "the best European jazz pianist today."
In November 2001, the Gustav Csik Trio recorded fourteen compositions by Dorchester, Massachusetts-based composer Harry Ferruolo. The sessions, in Mauer, Switzerland, were co-produced by Ferruolo's wife. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
