Guan Mucun (Chinese: 关牧村; born 1953) is a female Chinese mezzo-soprano singer born in Xinxiang, Henan province. Lifeedit: Guan Mucun loved singing since childhood. She grew up in Tianjin and worked in animal husbandry until 1977 when she was admitted to Tianjin Song and Dance Troupe as an actress. In 1987 Guan graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music. In 1991 she earned her master degree from Nankai University. Guan Mucun found herself studying under Shi Guangnan, and Li Weijie. She found a niche blending Western melodies with traditional Chinese fused to form a unique artistic style.
