About Girl Overboard

Girl Overboard began life in 1985 under the moniker of Separate Tables. Playing the pub circuit around Melbourne, Australia, led to their first taste of success supporting John Farnham's Jack's Back tour in 1987, and a recording deal with BMG. Three singles were released as Separate Tables before they changed their name to Girl Overboard in 1989. Their debut album Paint a Picture was released at the same time, a mix of rock, pop, and light jazz, which peaked at number 16 on the Australian national charts. The single "The Love We Make" peaked at number 23 on the Australian charts, while the single "I Can't Believe," which peaked at number 43 in Australia, was released in the U.S. unsuccessfully.

A second album, Go, was released in 1993. ~ Brendan Swift, Rovi
