Ginnie Watson is an Anglo-French singer-songwriter. Living abroad for much of her childhood, she grew up on the east coast of the US as a kid, where she began 12 years of training in ballet and modern jazz. She’s also a trained classical singer and actor, who’s been writing and singing her own songs since the age of 13.
Alchemic melody is the fire in Ginnie’s work, inspiring her collaborations with renowned global artists and producers. Paris the early Noughties, saw her jumping professionally into the multi-genre music scene surrounding her. By 2004 she’d signed a record deal with Capitol and released her first single, L’Envie, with her band Absinthe.
She continues to act and direct internationally, with Arnaud Lemort, the French filmmaker describing her as a “fascinating talent”. Ginnie sings and writes in both French and English, is perfectly bilingual and has an insatiable passion for evocative music and cool beats.
