Mexican Latin pop group Garibaldi, name based on a place at Mexico City where local troubadours used to sing for free, was formed in 1989, climbing on music charts soon after releasing 1990's Que Te La Pongo. Playing a mixture of tropical and dance-pop styles, Garibaldi had the opportunity to perform live around Latin America, including the prestigious Acapulco and Viña del Mar festivals.
