About Fito Blanko
Fito’s success continued as he collaborated with an array of talented artists, such as Daryl Riley and Grammy-winning reggae artist Beenie Man in the hit single “Tear it Up”; with the popular rapper Drake — whom Fito met through their mutual producer Sensei Musica — on the song “Mambo”; and with Omar Ferrari on the sensual dancehall track “Whine On You.”
He expanded into the American market in 2011 with the independent release of the catchy mambo track “VIP, which charted on three U.S. Latin Billboard Charts: Latin Rhythm, Tropical Latin and Latin Pop., Fito quickly developed a reputation for turning up the heat at parties with his electrifying performances and dazzling charm.
The year 2012 kicked off with Canada’s largest daily newspaper, the Toronto Star, giving Fito front-page coverage in its People to Watch 2012 feature. Hit single “Pegaito Suavecito” (where he’s featured with merengue icon Elvis Crespo) reached #1 on the Billboard Latin Tropical Chart in November 2012. In 2013 Fito’s success continued with the signing to Pitbull’s label, Mr. 305 Inc. . Immediately following Fito’s welcoming to the Mr. 305 inc Family, Fito was featured on Dj Chino (Pitbulls official Dj) single “Si Te Agarro” where it was nominated for Cancion del Verano in Premios Juventud 2013.
Fito Blanko’s talent was most recently recognized with a Latin Grammy nomination for Pegaito Suavecito and was also distinguished amongst People En Espanol’s “Best Dressed” at this years Latin Grammys. Fito Blanko currently is promoting his current single “MENEO” and with his fresh style, signature voice and his ability to paint a picture with words we will continue to see why Fito Blanko is one of today’s most talented new artists.
