Indie Rock
Faded Paper Figures is an American Second Wave synthpop band from Los Angeles, California. FPF is known for their electro-organic sound often compared to bands like The Postal Service, Passion Pit, and Stars, with influences from Morrissey, The Pixies, and New Order mixed in for good measure. The band consists of three main members, R. John Williams (guitar and vocals), Kael Alden (guitar, bass, drums, synths), and his wife, Heather Alden (vocals and synths). They are joined live by drummer Kurt Deninger and bassist/keyboardist Sebastian Hackett. The band formed in 2007 and released their debut album "Dynamo" in 2008 to great acclaim. Since then they have gone on to release two more albums, "New Medium" in May 2010, and recently "The Matter" in Oct 2012. Each new release has seen the band stretch their creative palate combining glitched-out analog synth riffs with driving rock guitars and dance inspired beats. These guys (and gal) are going to blow your mind!
