Once the fuse of a stick of dynamite is lit the chain reaction is almost certain. The bright flare of the slow concentrated burn triggers nothing more than an intense waiting period. Everyone nows what’s going to happen; it’s just a matter of time. Once Evin Gibson started to record, a fuse was lit and a chain reaction was started. A successful independent record, an East Coast tour of the United States, shows in Japan, and the fuse continues to burn. From his humble beginnings in South Carolina, Evin Gibson has been honing his skills and abilities spending his childhood singing at church. He found out that he was a natural performer, singing and acting all through high school; the fuse continued to burn. In 2006 he decided to share his vision with the world in writing all the songs for his first project. “Life in E-Vision” was sold independently and reeled in impressive numbers. Evin personally sold 5,000 cds and generated a worldwide audience via the internet. “Life in E-Vision” hit #1 on several online charts including Unsignedbandweb.com and iuma.com. His following grew strong in the southern United States, Japan, and Germany, which allowed him the opportunity to open up for Jill Scott, Freddy Jackson, Sunshine Anderson among others. He also set up a promotional tour of Japan only a year later perform in front of thousands of fans. As the fuse continued to burn Evin was nominated for the Best Male R&B category in the North Carolina Music Awards in February of 2012. Just as the fuse of a stick of dynamite has its predetermined path, it seems that Evin Gibson is surely on his way to greatness. Having realized this, STR8WIRED Entertainment has signed Evin and is preparing him for the next level of success. He currently is in the studio working with other writers and producers crafting his next masterpiece. Now just imagine, if Evin was able to reach the masses on his own, what kind of explosion will occur with a strong team of industry professionals behind him.
