Everything on Red is a British punk rock band.
Formed in early 2007, Everything on Red play their own unique brand of punk rock. Switching from rapid rhythms to anthemic breakdowns in a heartbeat, frenetic drums and solid bass-work provide the backbone for electrifying synths, crunching guitars and a triple-pronged vocal attack.
With the release of the "Everything on Red" EP, through CFP Records, the band are intent on changing the face of an increasingly state music scene. Each of the four tracks are a testament to the passion and drive of each band member. Their influences are never obvious, but combine to create the rich, diverse sound which is unleashed during every live show.
Alex James: guitars, lead vocals,
James Rathmell: drums, backing vocals,
Tomas Brown: keyboards, backing vocals,
"Perhaps all punk influenced bands can learn something from Everything on Red; as not only are they keeping alive the spirit and passion of punk, but they have the guts and talent to take it somewhere new, therefore allowing it to grow and to progress." (Altsounds 9/10 - Recommended Band)
"Everything on Red have a really diverse, rich sound. The vocals are well thought out and the use of harmonies, especially on 'Absinthe Makes The Heart Grow Fonder' suggests a band who are extremely talented...This four-track EP is quite brief but showcases a band full of good ideas. There are choruses, solid song structures and plenty of singalong moments. Inventive and original...EOR could be ones to watch." (Punktastic) 3.5/5
"Neveroddoreven is the first track that comes crashing into your sound-space with a frantic rhythm that Rage Against The Machine would be proud of, propelled along with a lovely organ/keyboard sound that reminds me of The Doors, a prevailing sound throughout this tight self-titled EP." (thebeatsurrender 3/5)
"UK Alt Rockers Everything on Red are certainly chock-full of ideas. Channelling the gang vocals of early Taking Back Sunday, the melodic choruses of AFI, and the affinity for time changes of At the Drive-In...Given room to breathe on a full length, this literate bunch may soon be making waves in the post punk scene." (Rocksound Exposure)
"Bringing to mind bands such as Minus The Bear, Death Cab For Cutie, Enter Shikari and elements of Thirty Seconds to Mars, these fellas could indeed be set for big things!" (thesugarmill.co.uk)
"Everything on Red specialise in incredibly tight, complex arrangements played with bags of energy, admirable flair and astounding timing... To see them is to experience a musical fairground ride of the type that turns your knuckles snow white." (Stoke Sounds website)
"They fuse electric sounds and rock to make a kaleidoscope of sound, flitting between styles like a trip down a DNA strand of the alternative genre...this is definitely a band to watch." (Sleepwalkers Magazine)
"I was listening to Everything on Red this morning." (Steve Lamacq)
