Stephen Speights (born April 27, 1990 in Detroit, MI) better known by his stage name EstaBoN, is identified as the storyteller trying to get a story across.
Attempting to escape an abusive home and poverty stricken neighborhood on the east side of Detroit, EstaBoN landed in the city of Chicago to live with his Aunt at the age of 6. During his youth he began exploring the craft of drawing, poetry, and songwriting while forming a gospel rap/singing group with his two best friends. Although he grew up in the streets and the suburbs he is not ashamed to represent either place. With a creative vision combined with the love of writing raps and arranging melodies, EstaBoN began a secular solo rap career at the age of 15. He then generated a nationwide audience, while maintaining his studies in Psychology at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
EstaBoN prides himself with the title of an Artist and has captivated fans with his attractive hooks, innovative melodies, and imaginative compilations. Making his mark through various showcases and competitions throughout Chicago, EstaBoN’s versatile style and ingenious lyrics has earned him the tag as the next big artistic gust from the Windy City!
