About Ensemble Claude-Gervaise


This folk group was formed in 1967 in Quebec by flutists Francois Barre, Jean Gagne, Joseph Guilmette and Gilles Plante to combine Renaissance styles with contemporary music. Now including Marcel Benoit, Philippe Gelinas, Jean-Marc Gras, Isabelle Marchand, Daniel Thonon, and Diane and Gilles Plante, the Ensemble has released Tout L'Monde Est Malheureux (1976), Chante L'Amour Et la Guerre (1977), Jouissance Vous Donneray (1981), La Rencontre (1982), Musique Au Temps de Leonardo Da Vinci (1987) and Noels de la Renaissance (1988). ~ John Bush, Rovi
