About Ella Speed

Jam band Ella Speed was formed in Statesboro, GA by singer/guitarist Kent Dowling, guitarist John Calhoun, bassist Tim Cloud and drummer Ken Durden; when Calhoun later left to attend grad school, he was replaced by guitarist Brad Edgy, who also became the group's lead vocalist. Ella Speed's debut album Redemption followed in 1999; that same year, Durden left the group, and was replaced by drummer Tim "Flash" Carter. A few months later, Dowling announced his exit as well. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
