Boston-based singer/guitarist and music writer Elijah Wald enriched his knowledge while touring around the world, including playing the lead in a blues duo called Antwerb. Produced by Bill Morrisey, Songster, Fingerpicker, Shirtmaker became his debut as a solo artist. It was followed by Street Corner Cowboys, a collection of his favorite tunes recorded along with Robbie Phillips, Matt Leavenworth, and Paul Geremia, and released by Black Rose Records.
Elijah Wald achieved a Grammy award for his liner notes in The Arhoolie Records 40th Anniversary Box: The Journey of Chris Strachwitz, which includes 106 songs performed by 96 artists.
