Eddie Gomez is an emerging singer/songwriter from Portland, Oregon who currently resides in Los Angeles. Eddie's debut EP "No," available August 27th, is a 6 track EP that was produced by production team Captain Cuts (Grouplove, Smallpools). Eddie's soulful roots mixed with contemporary elements of modern music have helped him to refine his distinct sound. Eddie has previously collaborated with Stephen "Bud'da Mann" Anderson (Aaliyah, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice cube, 2Pac) whom he credits as helping to unlock his "creative”. Eddie found salvation in music. From a young age, crippled with a speech impediment, Eddie found that singing helped him with his stutter. He also looked to singing as a form of release after being teased by other kids his age for wearing his brother and sisters hand-me-downs, and for the simple fact that his family was adopted by a church one Christmas to help them through their financial difficulties, giving his family a Christmas that they wouldn't have had otherwise. It is through these life experiences that he has adopted the phrase "hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard." Music, entertaining and performing are in his blood, having parents who traveled throughout the county as paid folk dancers. Eddie has performed throughout Los Angeles appearing at the world famous Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip, The Viper Room, 5 Towers Stage at Universal City Walk, The Hotel Cafe, Room 5, and The Mint to name a few. He has appeared on "The Today Show," "El Cofi Break," MundoFox, and several other national and local programs.
