About Dystopia

Formed in Orange County, California in 1991, Dystopia was a sludge metal and crust punk band, popular in both the heavy metal and crust punk scenes, due in large part to their bleak, misanthropic imagery. Lyrics often dealt with human emotions and social or political issues such as environmentalism, racial equality, substance abuse, and animal rights. Members edit: Final Lineup edit: Todd Keisling - bass (Confrontation, Mange, Agrimony, Kontraklasse, Phobia, Screaming Fetus), Matt Parrillo - guitar, vocals (Cantankerous, Mindrot, Medication Time, Nigel Pepper Cock, Drain the Sky, John the Baker and the Malnourished, Kicker), Anthony "Dino" Sommese - drums, vocals (Ghoul, Asunder, Lachrymose, Phobia, Carcinogen, Insidious, Noothgrush), Previous edit: Dan Kaufman - vocals (Mindrot, Eyes Of Fire), Phil Martinez - drums (Phobia, Mange, Apocalypse)
