About Dom Wier
Two EPs “Jaded Dreamer”, “After The Flood” and the single, “American Son” were produced and recorded with Grammy winning engineer Nick Autry (Buddy Guy, Chris Young) at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville, TN. The music can be described as American Roots Rock with a Southern Country influence. A six song EP “Born On The Mississippi”, released July 30th, 2013, was recorded over a several month period at different studios near Nashville. It features a version of “Tear Me Back Apart”, a song written by the highly respected Americana tunesmith John Moreland.
Dom has toured throughout the United States with performances at festivals, fairs, motorcycle rallies, clubs and plenty of smoky backwoods bars off the beaten path. The road of this particular songwriter has brought lots of miles driven down long dark highways, meeting all kinds of folks from different backgrounds and sharing show bills with acts like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shooter Jennings, Blackberry Smoke, Candlebox, Foghat, members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Toto among others.
In 2015 Dom brought together fellow songwriters Vince Ostrander and Alan Crist to form The Good Routes. Now Dom’s main project, The Good Routes have released a self titled EP and are performing at festivals, colleges and clubs throughout the country. They are opening for national acts and have developed a driving roots rock sound with blended harmonies and standout songwriting. People are starting to take notice. Dom Wier continues to roll down highways staying the course, writing songs and relying on perseverance and heart…two things it takes to have a long career in music.
