Catnaps is a fuzzed-out sugar pop quartet from Philadelphia, PA, currently consisting of Adrianne Gold (guitar/vocals), Carolyn Haynes (bass/vocals), Daniel Houwen (lead guitar), and Christian Bach (drums). Basking in saccharine innocence these indie posters released their debut album Why Don't You Whisper? in the summer of 2011. The album centers on the pros and woes of "love" or whatever we think love is. The band has played Athens Pop Fest, NYC Pop Fest (The Knitting Factory), Colorado's Underground Music Showcase, as well as Philadelphia's DIY Human BBQ and with bands such as Hellogoodbye, Eternal Summers, Screaming Females, and The Front Bottoms. After several one-offs and a two week tour in the summer of 2010 Catnaps embarked on a summer-long national tour in 2011. Besides putting their feet in the pacific ocean for the first time they performed live on radio stations, did interviews, and recorded acoustic sessions with Nervous Energies & Sleepover Sessions. The band released Boys Drool, a Valentines Day EP, in February 2012 and are currently recording a 5 song EP due out in April. The new EP is heavily influenced by 90s indie rock bands and female fronted grunge groups, the likes of: The Breeders, That Dog, Built To Spill, and many more.
