Black Lung originated its' filth style satanic punk around 1989 and never got recognition from any other punk rock adversaries in Denver, CO. In 2011 Black Lung released their Light of Lucifer album. This marked a change for the band. Black Lung incorporated death metal into their hardcore punk style creating Satanic Punk Rock with a Death Metal twist. Their music is not intended for the weak it can at times be rather frightening especially if you listen to it with your eyes closed or in a dark room (better have a flashlight handy just in case). If you like death metal, punk rock and horror films, you are sure to love the music of Black Lung. They are currently known as one of the best and largest punk rock/death metal bands on the underground. Black Lung will have people banging their heads for decades to come! Black Lung has been through many, many line up changes throughout the years. The Pentagram of Black Lungs Circle is Strong. Black Lung is one of Denver's longest lasting hardcore punk bands in Denver's History.
