Born Corey Jefferson in little rock Arkansas, Big Cuz has had a hard up hill battle with life. At the age of 3 his mother decided to move to California where he would spend the next ten years of his life living in Inglewood. In at the age of 9 Corey began writing poetry after learning that it was an art form that he liked. He began to pay more attention to music, often writing raps and poems in class. Hip-hop became his favorite art form after listening to Tupac’s single changes in 1997. He began to study other artist such as Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Nas.
At the age of 13 his mother moved them back to Arkansas. Where he began to participate in ciphers on the schools play grounds. At an early age he experience a great deal of pain. Shortly after arriving to Little Rock his youngest sister (and closest friend) passed away. He began a down ward spiral. He was constantly kicked out of school for various fights and behavioral problems. After several run-ins with the law he began to turn his life around at the age of 18. He enrolled in classes and the university of Arkansas at little rock. Where he was encouraged by his friends to begin recording the music that he wrote. Coming from a musical family Corey knew there would be no better choice then to record at Key Ingredient Music Group studios. In 2009 he and brother- in- law Shoboat begin their first project The Civil War. After completing this project he began working on his solo project, Lost Minds Vol. 1 in 2010. After being pushed back several times due to high volumes of school work he is set to release his first solo project Lost Minds Vol. 1 on November 18th 2011. at the begining of 2012 he released his second mixtape Chasing Success.
